This time of year, plans and celebrations are underway for graduates and retirees. It's a time for change and a time to reflect. Emotions run high as we think of the memories we've made, the experiences we've had, and the opportunities ahead.

Elementary, high school and college graduations seem so unimaginable when students are in the midst of book reports, lingering essays and high-stress finals. Students' thoughts might be those of, "Will graduation ever come?" Eventually those students grow up and find themselves watching their own children graduate from elementary, high school and college. As parents, they might ask, "Where did the time go?" When the day comes to prepare for retirement, some might think "Look at all that I've accomplished." No matter what stage you find yourself in right now, perhaps you're wondering, "What's next?"

Regardless of your age, the world is full of opportunities. Life is waiting. Don't sit back and let the sand slip through the hourglass. If you do, you'll find yourself wondering shamefully, "What have I done with my life?" instead of proudly stating, "Look what I've done with my life!"

Live life with no regrets. Don't be upset or sad when one of life's chapters comes to an end. Remember it with a happy heart, keeping in mind that every experience has helped shape who you've become. And when we do transition through important milestones, we need to make sure the lessons we've learned get passed on through generations. That way, the memories will never die.
